Obbyz The Amazing Race Fanfiction 1 is the first installment of the fictional series, Obbyz The Amazing Race Fanfiction. Obbyz The Amazing Race Fanfiction featured 11 teams of two, with a pre-existing relationship, in a race around the world.

The season premiered on January 16, 2009. The show is hosted by Phil Keoghan.


Cast[]

Applications for the race were due in 30 September 2009 and semi-finalist interviews were held while locations for the race were scouted in early October 2009. Filming took place around October & November 2009.

Notable cast members include Twins Model , Celia & Celline Stu , and Actress Kelly Pulido. Other racers include Dating Skateboarder , Surfer teacher , Radio Announcers , Married Gambler , and Manga Drawers.

The following teams participated in the Race, with their relationships at the time of filming. Note this table does not necessarily reflect all content broadcast on television due to inclusion or exclusion of some data. Placements are listed in finishing order.

Note 1: Daichi & Akio actually arrived 4th but were issued 30-minutes time penalty for taking a taxi to the pitstop of walking to the pitstop as instructed in their clue , they dropped to 7th.
Note 2: Melody & Beermy actually arrived 5th but were issued 30-minutes time penalty for taking a taxi from MALBA to the detour point of walking as instructed in their clue , they dropped to 8th.
Note 3: Victor & Mary actually arrived 5th but were issued 30-minutes time penalty for putting of their traditional clothes in roadblock of wearing it as instructed in their clue , however the 2 last teams could checked in before their penalty ended , they dropped to last and eliminated.
Note 4: Aasish, Melody, Celia, and Garry were unable to complete roadblock , and they were issued 4 hours time penalty at the pit stop.
Note 5: Leg 8 roadblock is not shown due to producer error.
Note 6: Paul & Garry actually arrived 1st bur were taking a taxi to the pit stop of taking a ferry as instructed in their clue , they need go back and rode a ferry , they dropped to 4th.
Note 7: Daichi & Akio took 24 hours penalty because they couldn't finish their detour , Phil came to the detour point and eliminated them.
Note 8: The U-Turn in Leg 9 was a Blind U-Turn; Aasish & Jean did not have to reveal themselves to the other teams as having used the U-Turn.

  • Red means the team was eliminated.
  • Green ƒ means the team won the Fast Forward clue. A green-colored leg number indicates that the Fast Forward was available for that leg but not used.
  • An underlined Blue team's placement means the team came in last on a non-elimination leg.

Prizes[]

The prize for each leg is awarded to the first place team for that leg. All trips are sponsored by Travelocity.

  • Leg 1 - $5000 for each racer
  • Leg 2 - An environmentally-friendly electric car for each team member.

Elimination Station[]

The first six teams eliminated were sequestered at a villa in Acapulco, Mexico to await the finale. Subsequent eliminated teams telephoned the villa to inform the teams at the villa of their elimination. The sequestered teams met up with the final three teams in the final destination city to cheer on the final three teams as they crossed the Finish Line.

  • After Leg 1, Sam & Diana were the first eliminated and sent to villa. While there , Diana was really felt sad knowing that they are the first team to be eliminated , she say that they could survive in the first leg , but they weren't have any lucky. And then they were travelling the city and had a romantic dinner in one of restaurant , they guesed that Celline & Celia will be the next team to be eliminated.
  • After Leg 2, William & Jill were the second team eliminated and sent to villa . Jill felt guilty because she couldn't did the roadblock fast. The two eliminated teams went for shopping at the city , William & Jill predict Melody & Beermy will be eliminated next , and Sam & Diana predicted Celline & Celia will be eliminated next.
  • After Leg 3 , Andrew & Max were the third team eliminated and sent to villa , William & Jill shocked when Andrew & Max entered the villa .Andrew told about the terrible leg in Brunei Darussalam and told they were U-Turned by Melody & Beermy , all teams shocked when heard that Melody & Beermy used U-Turned. Later the eliminated boys went playing volly , and the eliminated girls had a spa.
  • After Leg 4 , Victor & Mary were the fourt team eliminated and sent to villa , Victor told about the penalty made them to be eliminated , and Mary though if Victor did the roadblock , they won't eliminated , tension between Sam & Diana rising because Diana wanted to go shopping shopping and shopping , later the eliminated teams going to saw a traditional dance.

Race Summary[]

Leg 1 ( United States → Belize )[]

Baronbliss

Teams visited Baron Bliss Light House in Leg 1.

The detour was Search it or Catch it. In Search it , team must go to Green Hills Butterfly Farm Library and search for a butterfly which have same wing pattern with the example , after they find it , they will receive their next clue. In Catch it , team must catch 10 butterfly which have same wing pattern with the example , after they catch it , they will receive their next clue. The roadblock had one team member to do Bungee Jumping , after team member did the jump , they will receive their next clue.

Additional Tasks
  • Upon arrival at the St.John Cathedral, teams signed up for one of three departure times to Corozal Town , all of which were the following morning.
  • At Corozal Bay Resort, teams search a girl in sand beach to receive their next clue.

Leg 2 ( Belize → Argentina )[]

AVA

Automóvil Club Argentino was the 2nd pit stop in the race around the world

The detour was Tango or Mango. In Tango , team must learn how to learn Tango , after the locals satisfied with their tango , they will receive their next clue . In Mango , team must selling Mango in local market , after they sell enough , they will receive their next clue. The roadblock had one team member to search painting and take a picture of it ,after they print the picture , they will receive their next clue.

Additional Task
  • At Estadio Alberto J. Armando , team must search for baseball coach to receive their next clue , but it wasn't aired.

Leg 3 ( Argentina → Brunei Darussalam )[]

The Detour was Village Work or Village Life . In Village Work , team must search 2 cage full of fish and take it to market to receive their next clue . In Village Life , team must search ingredients of Brunei Darussalam's traditional food , and then they must cook it , after they finish cooking , they will receive their next clue. The roadblock had one team member to search for The Amazing Race stamp , after they find it , the next clue is behind the stamp.

Additional Task
  • In Persiaran Damuan , team must search for Brunei Sculpture.
  • In front of Brunei Sculpture , team must arrange letters to be three words which are their next destination

Leg 4 ( Brunei Darussalam )[]

The detour in this leg of the race was Modern or Traditional. In Modern , team must refine 1 liter of oil after they finish they will receive their next clue. In Traditional , team must make traditional food of Brunei , Sago , after they finish make 2 sago , they will receive their next clue. The roadblock had one team member dress into locals clothes and join wedding party at the mosque , after they met up with their partner , they will receive their next clue.

Additional Task
  • At Brunei Museum , team must search for travelo city gnome.

Leg 5 ( Brunei Darussalam → Japan )[]

Leg 6 ( Japan → United Arabs Emirates )[]
